Our learning guidelines

Self-managed learning
Community

Young people set their own learning objectives, curriculum, timetable & assessment.

Young people connect through their own learning community, and with the community around them.

Consent-based
Self-recorded journey

The learning is led by each young person themselves, based on their free choice and consent.

In order to support continuous self-reflection and self-regulation, young people are supported in collecting evidence about their learning, based on adolescents' developing cognition.

Human

Adults are there to ensure young people learn safely, both physically & emotionally, and according to their well-being, wishes, needs and capabilities.

Ecological

Young people learn with respect to the world around them, using nature, technology and their senses. They learn to find their way and their place in that world.

"I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.”

Louisa May Alcott.
